“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful parts of us.”

Therapeutic Approach

I understand how difficult and overwhelming it can feel trying to find the right therapist. Although I bring a lot of experience and expertise to therapy, it is truly the relationship with my clients that is most healing. I approach all my clients with compassion, warmth and nonjudgmental acceptance. I am supportive and empathic first and foremost, but I will also challenge you and encourage changes if I feel it will facilitate further growth. I view myself as a guide and companion on your unique journey through therapy.

Experience

I have been a licensed clinical social worker in California since 2003. I began my career working with children and families in the community mental health setting. I worked as a therapist at Edgewood Center for Children and Families in San Francisco and at Didi Hirsch Community Mental Health Center and Jewish Family Service in Los Angeles.

Following the birth of my own children, I received additional training in perinatal mental health and began my private practice in 2012. Although I specialize in treating women in the postpartum period, my practice includes women and men at all stages of adulthood. I also work with women in group settings and have been facilitating Mommy and Me classes through The Pump Station since 2015.
